Childcare Fees at Banana Moon Edgbaston.

At Banana Moon Edgbaston we aim to make the process of paying fees as simple as possible. All invoices are sent to parents via an app so you always know where you are.

We are open 51 weeks of the year and only close between Christmas day and New Years' and closed for all Bank Holidays. For this reason, we calculate fees over 51 weeks of the year.

Invoices are calculated in the following way:

A number of sessions/days attending x 51 weeks divided by 12.

This ensures parents receive the same invoice amount every month which is great for financial planning for our families. We know many parents do like to book extra sessions, and those will be charged as induvial day rates additional to invoices.

We offer both private and funded places. For funded places, parents are charged on their actual sessions so that termly funded amounts can be deducted. Funding can be received by some 2, 3 and 4 year olds by the local authority, and is provided over 38 weeks of the year.

Early Years Funding:

More information about funding can be found on the link below:

Your child maybe entitled to 2 years old funding from the term after their second birthday the link above would allow you to check this.

The term after a child turns 3 they become eligible for 3 and 4 year old universal entitlement.  Also known as 15- and 30-hours funding.  All 3- and 4-year-olds will receive 15-hour funding from the term after their 3rd birthday. Some children may be entitled to extended entitlement giving them 30 hours of funding. To receive this a validation code would be needed the term before the funding is used.

If your child is using funding, we at the nursery will require parents to fill out a funding declaration form each term, and a parent declaration form required by the Local Authority. Once these are complete the nursery will share details with the Local Authority to obtain the relevant funding and then deduct this form your invoices.

To find out what your child is eligible for visit :

Once you have a Extended Entitlement code we ask that you share this with the nursery. We will ask you to complete a Parent Declaration form. We will require you to re validate your code every 3 months. HMRC will prompt parents when the code is due to expire.
